Claremont Trio
The Claremont Trio is one of the most exciting young groups performing today.
"Their exuberant performance and gutsy repertoire ... was the kind of fresh approach that keeps chamber music alive."
    - The Cincinnati Enquirer
They received the first Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award in December of 2003, which resulted in a tour of 20 major venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall.

After winning the 2001 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, the Claremont Trio made its acclaimed New York debut at the 92nd Street Y.   The Trio also debuted in Boston at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and in Washington, D.C. at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.   The Claremont Trio held the Helen F. Whitaker Chamber Music Chair of Young Concert Artists.

The Claremont Trio has performed extensively across the United States as well as in Europe and Australia. They play concerts frequently at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Gardner Museum in Boston, where they will present the complete Beethoven Piano Trios in 2006.   They also have performed in New York at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, the Guggenheim Museum, the New York Historical Society, and the Alexander Schneider series at the New School.   After their 2004 Kennedy Center debut on the prestigious Fortas Chamber Music Series.

"... ardent yet sophisticated sound that embraced the audience."
    The Washington Post
During the summers the trio has performed at many music festivals including the Caramoor, Lucerne, Ravinia, Bard, Yale/Norfolk, Moab, and Great Lakes Festivals.

The Claremont Trio often performs the Beethoven Triple Concerto with orchestras across the country, including the Virginia Symphony, the Pacific Symphony, and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.   They also have collaborated with many distinguished guest artists including Ida Kavafian, Toby Appel, Martha Katz, Richard Young, and Nokuthula Ngweyama.
