 Music for Two Guitars

Julian Gray and Ronald Pearl - Classical Guitar Duo

In deciding on the music for this recording, we have chosen a range of styles similar to that which we would present in our concert programs. There are transcriptions from the keyboard and orchestral repertoires, and music originally written for guitar duo. There are works from Spain and Latin America, musical cultures to which the sound of the guitar is popularly and justifiably connected, and other music, such as the Brahms Intermezzi, that is not bound up in any way to the idiomatic charms of the instrument. Threre is music from the past and from our own time. - Julian Gray and Ronald Pearl
