Orlando di Lasso Chanson and Madrigals
 The Toronto Consort

Orlando di Lasso was the most highly esteemed composer of the late Renaissance. Music publishers in Venice, Rome, Nuremberg, Munich, Paris, Louvain, and Antwerp vied for the privilege of publishing his latest works. The influential Parisian firm of Le Roy et Ballard considered him their star composer, and in 1570 issued the Mellange d'Orlando di Lassus, a retrospective collection of Lasso's most beloved chansons, the volume was reissued in 1576 by popular demand.
