THE MUSIC
The Beauty of Two reflects the musical art of performing duets by showcasing the Grieg Cello Sonata, Hindemith Viola Sonata Op. 11, No. 4, Martinu Cello Sonata No. 3 and Flute Sonata by Poulence: beautiful, romantic works that each showcases their composer's skill on their chosen instruments.

The supporting role, however, is not as easy as it may seem. Accompanying is not only the art of supporting the soloist but also of knowing when to gently or even assertively suggest the musical direction. It is the art of helping soloists perform at their best.

THE PERFORMERS
This premier full-length release from The Kennedy Center Chamber Players is performed by the core group of principal chair players of the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington, D.C. and features Grammy Award winner Lambert Orkis.

The Kennedy Center Chamber Players' series at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater has gained a loyal following and has been greeted with critical accolades. These talented musicians come together, despite their busy orchestral and personal musical lives, for their shared love of music-making.
